facebook has crashed…i shall have to get a life

no treasure madness, no farmville,no café world, no reading what my friends and family are up to.….….…..My Nieces shop Mandors won the best in the west award today and i found out on facebook.…see what i mean , how will i keep up :-)

Grandson Cameron is here for the long weekend holiday .….……he is on one of my laptops looking up street lights.….……it is an asperger obsession.….….……different from my obsession with treasure madness.

I said to my younger daughter.….….….i wonder why 3 of my grandchildren have aspergers, i don’t have any obsessions.….….….she burst out laughing, i was sitting surrounded by three laptop computers playing games on two at once.….well i am exercising my brain.….… and i admit to not knowing what people are on about most of the time and finding life slightly perplexing and most illogical.

anyway ,

the Pope came to Glasgow, some people found it really annoying as all the roads around my house were closed and the local motorway became a bus park for 400 buses. i enjoyed it all hugely despite being a ‘proddy’ (non catholic for those not glaswegian), i got out my bike and rode through the empty streets and took photos of all the buses and people, heard the famous Susan Boyle .….……she could be heard from quite a distance.….……cycled up and down along the length of bellahouston park then rode home and watched it all on telly.……Glasgow does this kind of thing so well , with little fuss.tasty rump

ah well back to see if facebook is back up.….….…my crops will be wilting.

tasty rump?

another wedding and thousands of photos

for those that worried that i had not got back safely from Tel Aviv, here i am safely on my corner , surrounded by laptop computers…one has given up the ghost as i knew it would , so i have been using a tiny notebook instead but it is too slow and jerky, serves me right for buying the cheapest.…..

anyway. last posting i was in Tel Aviv.

since then , i was home for about 36 hours then drove to center parcsin the lake district to join Nicola, Christopher and the children for a very different holiday to the sweltering heat of Israel.

Which parent is the craziest ? asked the children’s entertainer of my small grandson.….Grandma was his instant reply, which is how i ended up on stage trying to make a dog out of a balloon.same child informed me i was ’ not as old as i was supposed to be’

i rode a bike for the first time in 43 years, wobble wobble wobble.…..well i had wobbled round to the local post box once a year ago, then put bike in garage and forgot it.

then home to Glasgow with the four chippenham family following.…they got here first.….……and here they stayed till the second wedding…a very different affair

i was proclaimed ‘official photographer’ which was very very scary…i amassed cameras, batteries , memory cards, white umbrellas, silver sheet for reflected light.….….tripod…etc etc.

this wedding was of my Nephew and was in the beautiful ruined Hailes castle , near Haddington.the whole thing was great fun from start to finish, including a bouncy castle for children and adults alike.

as you can see from the photograph, the heavens opened and it poured tropical type rain for a few minutes just as the married , it added to the general fun of the day.

me havin fun on bouncy castle

. did manage one day at the Edinburgh festival while finding the castle the day before the wedding.

since then i have been editing thousands of photos, creating a photo book online and creating a DVD.…which is at last finished and posted to the young couple, such a relief.

all this excitement left me exhausted and i came down with the common cold…a wonderful excuse to play games on face book for a few days.

And lastly …the answer to the age old question .….….…
