it’s goin on me blog

Abigail says that is going on my tombstone.….….…..not that i can remember all that i was going to put om ‘me’ blog.
i am in Glasgow, my suitcase is somewhere in south America. and included in it is the memory card that i filled up with hundreds of photos, all i have are the ones in the camera taken on the last day of a two week whirlwind tour of Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

Brazil was hot ‚humid and scary, we were staying in an hotel on Ipanema beach and were warned not to go out at night, that made dining difficult as the hotel had no restaurant and there were none within two blocks so we did a lot of scuttling about after dark.….…..oooh but the coffee was the best i have ever tasted.
bought a bikini near the beach. we came to the conclusion that the song girl from Ipanema was written because she was the only good looking girl passing, they all seemed to be short and fat and old but the were at least tanned…to the point of old leather.….i was a strange shade of salmon pink, with eyebrows rapidly getting blonder and blonder in the strong sun till they seemed to disappear altogether. Brazilians don’t seem to smile much.

In strong contrast to Rio De Janeiro Buenos Aires, Argentina was buzzing i would recommend it to anybody and the people smile a lot.

Chile was big and very green but about to turn yellow as it is a desert with snow covered mountains on one side and the sea

on the other.

then at the airport.oh dear !

oh dear !

which is why my suitcase is somewhere in south america and i am not.
i will write more when and if my suitcase arrives with my photo card.

back to chippenham, back home, back to london

redheadMy quiet life is getting crowded with happenings.

Having been to the wedding and then helped.…or hindered the moving in of JJ (Jonathan James).i went back to Chippenham to try to keep the small boys from bouncing on their mummy’s newly sewn up tummy and to deliver them safely to and from school/nursery for a few days.

This is not one of the boys despite it being the same colour as the hair on one of them.

lit upThursday was Nicola’s birthday so i got a tiny cake in a local shop and nathan put on all sorts of candles

Having engineers for parents has its uses, chris bought the boys light sabers at the school disco, needless to say they were feeble and not at all of any use to fratricidal brothers but mummy and daddy took them to bits and got the LED s taped up again

Today’s beef is with BT Openreach.….….…..for two reasons, one being more serious than the other.

in the good old days if you had a problem you phoned 151 and somebody spoke to you then fixed the problem and if you were a disabled person or a person with precarious health you got very speedy help.….….….not in the wonderful 21st century, you can’t get at them ‚when eventually you get to speak to a human they can’t do anything speedily. that was for JJ’s phone.

useful parentsOn 28th Oct I reported my phone was off when my upstairs neighbour noticed that my Internet connection didn’t come up on his screen.….……we know each others encryption keys in case of that sort of thing happening fortunately for several days later when i get home. no computer, not television, no phone and my mobile only gets a signal if i stand on the front door step. so i try phoning on my mobile, no luck it keeps cutting out. i am not sure if they got the message or not so i wait a day, nothing happens so i access the net via his connection and manage .….……and it wasn easy ‚what with passwords and pin numbers and account numbers.….……to book an engineer to come out , they tell me to agree to paying £120 if the fault is in my house. i agreed partly because there was no way there was a fault in the house. engineer took two hours to fix it and among the messages it had stored was one from BT days earlier saying they had fixed the problem and if i still had the fault to contact them.….….no comment.

I am back in London because Abby and i fly to Brazil, Chile and Argentina tomorrow.….……what quiet life ?

married and a signed letter from Arsene Wenger

wedding was excellent fun.…went without a hitch.…ooh that was a bad pun.pair

anyway despite the traffic getting out of London and the worries about forgotten items of luggage and slightly frantic phone calls to the one of us coming by train from Cambridge, we arrived in plenty of time to get into our hotel rooms and our dresses…but of zeugma there.….….…..look it up.….….….…

I have never seen so much food as was circulated before the meal while the usual hundreds of photos were being taken.it was all delicious.

there was Jewish dancing and there was Irish dancing and there was dancing from my teen years i.e. the twist etc.dancing

22 different deserts on a buffet table.

two best men made two excellent speeches and a signed letter from Arsene Wenger was read out, impressive or what.Arsene Wenger

Friday we went back to London ‚Saturday we tried to move lots moving JJof things into JJ’s flat much to the consternation of Cesar the decorator who still had wet paint wet painteverywhere.then went right into the middle of London where there were no fireworks as they terrify JJ and had an excellent dinner. Sunday we took more things over and he was supposed to move in but there was still painting to be done.

i drove over to Chippenham ( via the Swindon outlet center, well i needed underwear) to keep the small lively boys from bouncing on their mummy’s tummy while it heals up.it was her birthday yesterday and she looked great but is tired today.it takes at least two weeks to get over an operation. and i have got her addicted to café world on facebook, i just asked her to join so i could expand my café. oops!

tonight i drive home as i have to drive back to London next week and from there to Brazil, Chile and Argentina with Abigail.

And i am well chuffed because my photograph Tiger tiger tiger tiger 3 won the camera club beginners competition last night, glad i wasn’t there or i would have gone all embarrassed. for once i agree with the judge :-)
