But then it is my time to waste.….…even though the way i was feel­ing yes­ter­day , i was not sure there was a lot of it left to waste.

yes­ter­day i was sav­ing and spend­ing money at the same time and frit­ter­ing away hours look­ing at the quidco website.

Older daugh­ter mar­isa had been read­ing my blog to see just what her mother was get­ting up to.…..as if it would all be here.….…..

she emails…” youv’e been to screw­fix, you musn’t go to screw­fix unless it is through the quidco site you can save 6% “ .….……well that was me for the rest of the day. i found screw­fix and they had exactly what i wanted.…..a towel holder like they have in hotels so that there is always a towel or two in the bath­room for any guest who has for­got­ten to get one before becom­ing wet and naked.….….this hasnt happened yet but it could. it hap­pens to me when i have put my tow­els in the wash and for­got­ten to replace them, i got a lovely holder in john lewis and put it up last week. 

any­way then i browsed the hun­dreds of other mer­chants on the site and ordered all sorts of chocol­ate from Hotelchocolat.….……will let you know how it tastes.….…..the Screw­fix order arrived this morn­ing, amaz­ingly speedy.

i was feel­ing ill yes­ter­day though so i didn’t feel bad about sit­ting doing nothing.

that was yesterday

today Abi­gail emails about the swoopo auc­tion site.….well that was me , all day watch­ing people bid for things. i won a Wii fit.….….…..as it costs 40p per bid and the bids go up 8p or some­times 1p a time it is easy to see how the site makes its money. though i got the Wii fit for £32 a great price, it cost me £25 to bid.….….…i have learned from that and now only bid at the very last minute when i think a thing has reached what the site wants for it.….….……i saved a small amount of money, i wanted one any­way and i got an after­noon enter­tain­ment for a few pounds which dis­trac­ted me from feel­ing ill.

i should have gone to my doc­tor sooner, i am a per­son that waits for a thing to get bet­ter and can put up with a lot, so now hav­ing seen my gp i feel worse some­how and he , being a calm per­son has said , we will redo the tests in 4 weeks in case it gets better.….…..i know it wont as it has been going on for months. next time i feel ill i shall make a fuss sooner.

then while put­ting the towel holder up the bat­tery ran out on the elec­tric screw­driver but it is up now.

Would you say you are a heavy drinker ? said my G.P.yesterday when he phoned to give me the res­ults of the seven blood tests he had ordered for me last Monday.

No says i with per­fect hon­esty as i drink very little alco­hol, i get drunk so very eas­ily and i don’t like being drunk, that i don’t bother.….…..“a cheap date ” my friends jok­ingly say.….……

I, sud­denly last week got fed up with the con­stant dull pain and feel­ing of tired­ness and breath­less­ness that i have had for months, so i took myself off to the doc with a wee list of symptoms.

he listened to it all, cured my rash with a cream.….……well it is almost gone. .….…and took lots of blood.

so it was all nor­mal except for a slight rais­ing of one liver test and a large rais­ing of another liver test.….three times what it should be.

so he will repeat it all in a months time.

i am hop­ing he heard what i said about my tee­total grand­mother and her cirrhosis.….…it turned out to be genetic in her case an auto immune prob­lem , and as i am right in the middle of five gen­er­a­tions of auto immune prob­lems like dia­betes, tem­poral arter­itis, endo­met­ri­osis, an auto immune liver prob­lem seems fairly likely.….……i did give him a huge clue by say­ing i always felt much bet­ter after donat­ing blood.….….……we shall see.

mean­while it is still painful.

feel­ing sad today , this is not a Basil related sad­ness this one is my late mother sadness.….….……she died 5 months after he did and all her paper­work was finally com­pleted today. i am sur­prized how it has deflated me.

Is it entirely neces­sary for a single woman , liv­ing on her own to pos­sess 68 screwdrivers?.……i have been tidy­ing out my tool box, this was dis­place­ment activ­ity, not procrastination .

though i have papered and painted the bits of wall exposed by removal of old radi­ator and repla­cing it with smal­ler more effi­cient one.

and i have removed all the old plaster and plas­ter­board back down to the stonework

down to the laths

in the other room then him upstairs attached wood straps and fresh plas­ter­board and hung the other new radiator.

deeply impressed with John Lewis’s . on Monday i went uptown to get my new dress.….…..got one reduced from £139 to £39.….….…very happy buyer. but what impressed me is. i needed some new kit­chen chairs as one kept fall­ing to bits .….….des­pite me mend­ing it twice and him upstairs mend­ing it once.….….. and four was not enough any­way so while in Lewis’s i ordered three more bet­ter qual­ity ones, they arrived this morning.….….….….so now we can all sit at break­fast on sim­ilar chairs.

i have been prac­tising my reiki on a friend.….….…it works folks.
