It is such fun behav­ing like a tour­ist in ones home country.….….….…since last blog­ging i have been out and about.…then sit­ting quietly at home for a few days to recover and do the washing.

i have been to the Edin­burgh fest­ival fringe and watched a man jug­gling with chain saw and machete etc. i have watched my niece put a man in straight jacket and chains, i have watched dan­cers , musi­cians and comedi­ans. it was a great day.

vis­ited the ’ house for an art lover’ it was built a few years ago to plans drawn up by Charles Ren­nie mack­in­tosh for a com­pet­i­tion about 80 years ago, it is beau­ti­ful.
get­ting a bit sad now and then not being Able to share it all with Him­self but i am sure he is about some­where watch­ing. .……i find myself singing that song from the king and i.…..don’t cry young lov­ers whatever you do , I’ve had a love like you.….….….…..

any­way

tomor­row i might go to Glas­gow green and watch hun­dreds of bagpipers.….…or per­haps not.

Yes those muddy things are my feet.….…..we went to New Lanark which is a pur­pose built work­ing town i.e. a mill, factory,school, church , nurs­ery and hous­ing for the workers,built a long time ago.….….…..excellent place and well worth vis­it­ing, then we went along to the Tra­quair house fest­ival late in the after­noon just to see what it was all about , it was huge fun but the rain had been very heavy and the car got stuck in the mud twice and so did i.

i am baby sit­ting tonight while my daugh­ters and sons in law have a curry.….the babies are not asleep…it is 9.45 p.m.

there is a short (24hr) hiatus in my unquiet life.

My younger daugh­ter and her hus­band came back from cel­eb­rat­ing 10 yrs of mar­riage in Paris and took the wee boys off to Chris’s par­ents for a few days.…the little boys had my house all tidy again before they went.wow.
yes­ter­day Mar­isa my older daugh­ter hand her fam­ily came with a car­load of toys that she cleared out of her attic for the younger ones.…..it is ter­ribly tempt­ing to poke about in the boxes to see what there is to play with but i am busy get­ting ready for the next influx, tonight my brother and his wife arrive from Den­mark ..Monday Nic, Chris, Aiden and Nathan come back, Tues­day my niece Laura arrives.….……there are beds every­where.….….….…… i have instruc­ted an archi­tect Mr Logan of Olar Archi­tects to build me a new big­ger gar­age plus a bed­room and bath­room on to the side of the house. at first he told me not to frit­ter away my money and was most dis­ap­prov­ing until he saw the effect of only some of the vis­it­ing fam­ily now he is keen and has drawn up superb plans includ­ing an ter­race on the top of the gar­age for him upstairs to have as a big bal­cony mean­ing that he wont have to go miles to get some fresh air.

Ah well i must go make up two more beds now
