worries of motherhood never end

I find i quite like having photographs that i have taken on display for the public to comment on.….……perhaps because i haven’t heard any negative things about them yet.

Nicola has just phoned to let me know she has survived her white water rafting.…i had blocked it from my mind as a mother has no wish to dwell upon her child ( how ever grown up ) speeding down a rocky river in a small boat.

Marisa was going through similar last night when left her house.….her older boy was going uptown by train with a friend to see the batman movie.

And Nicola’s older boy starts school on Friday.….….….….…life goes on

stacked

Not feeling good today, probably because it would have been our wedding anniversary, went to the cemetery today and left a few stones that i had collected on my travels around the world. they are all different colours and look very pretty, heaven knows what anybody poking around there in a few thousand years will think to find a collection of stones that are not local to Scotland.

playing with the camera

playing with the camera

photo is just me playing with the camera

they are showing the program that Marisa was an extra in at ten minutes past midnight so i have set the computer to record it and also the DVD player, hope they haven’t cut her scene.

program is called ’ stacked’ on Chanel 4

gardening and another film

It may not be the olympics but the photo is my brother gorden having swum the Limfjorden in Aalborg.

While basil was ill i had to get a team of gardeners in to keep the wilderness at bay because every time i went out there and got covered in mud he would fall out of bed or fall trying to get to the bathroom. so i would have to come in and get him off the floor without covering him in mud too, then i got too exhausted to do it anyway. Out of laziness i kept them on but it is £130 per month and that is a lot for a person on a pension so i have taken back control of the wilderness, but they still are supposed to keep the grass short and the hedge cut, well the hedge is 10ft high and the lawn is on a slope and i get chest pains just thinking about doing them. it is amazing how many weeds there are for a garden that cost me £130 per month, they dug up my plants and left the weeds as far as i can see, anyway i love gardening.

been to the cinema yet again, with abigail and the girls this time, we saw ‘the ‘Mummy’ lots of Chinese terracotta warriors and skeletons fighting. i found it quite a laugh, not sure if it was meant to be funny.

i am missing the Olympics, i watched it every morning while having breakfast.

went out yesterday and took photographs of the 330 million year old fossil trees in Victoria Park , i have lived here for many years and thought it was about time i saw them.

tonight the salsa lessons start again, i can’t remember a thing about how to do it. tomorrow we are having dinner here with cousin ros and friends to teach Kate how to salsa. Kate is going to Cuba with him upstairs next month, watch this space, is there a budding romance? living here is a better entertainment than reading glossy magazines.

one exhibition and two films

taken at 9 p.m. Glasgow university

taken at 9 p.m. Glasgow university

Went to see the Tracy Emin exhibition in Edinburgh.….……definitly not to my taste.….…..she has talent it is a pity she is so ‘up’ herself.

saw the new batman film enjoyed it more than the tracy emin.
also saw a film about an mossad agent who wants to be a hairdresser, it was quite funny in parts.

Abigail and Jonathan went to edinburgh by train last sunday. she asked to make sure that the car park at the underground station would be open when she got back and was promised it would be. she phoned me from the train because Jonathan who is severely autistic and had been very upset by a loud dog at the edinburgh station and was too agitated to go on the underground, so i collected them at queen st station, and drove them to the shields road car park, it was 7 P.M. the car park was locked , it was a good thing i hung about to make sure she was able to get out. she worried about the car all night in case it was vandalised ‚it wasn’t.….…but it was an upsetting end to her day out.….……we ate lot if ice cream and home made raspberry sauce to recover from it .…the car park people appologised the next day.
tonight some members of the camera club got permission to wander about glasgow university taking photographs so we did ‚starting and ending our jaunt with coffee and cakes in a beanscene (coffee shop) there was a group of several people of all ages knitting things ‚very lively place.
