It may not be the olympics but the photo is my brother gorden having swum the Limfjorden in Aalborg.
While basil was ill i had to get a team of gardeners in to keep the wilderness at bay because every time i went out there and got covered in mud he would fall out of bed or fall trying to get to the bathroom. so i would have to come in and get him off the floor without covering him in mud too, then i got too exhausted to do it anyway. Out of laziness i kept them on but it is £130 per month and that is a lot for a person on a pension so i have taken back control of the wilderness, but they still are supposed to keep the grass short and the hedge cut, well the hedge is 10ft high and the lawn is on a slope and i get chest pains just thinking about doing them. it is amazing how many weeds there are for a garden that cost me £130 per month, they dug up my plants and left the weeds as far as i can see, anyway i love gardening.
been to the cinema yet again, with abigail and the girls this time, we saw ‘the ‘Mummy’ lots of Chinese terracotta warriors and skeletons fighting. i found it quite a laugh, not sure if it was meant to be funny.
i am missing the Olympics, i watched it every morning while having breakfast.

went out yesterday and took photographs of the 330 million year old fossil trees in Victoria Park , i have lived here for many years and thought it was about time i saw them.
tonight the salsa lessons start again, i can’t remember a thing about how to do it. tomorrow we are having dinner here with cousin ros and friends to teach Kate how to salsa. Kate is going to Cuba with him upstairs next month, watch this space, is there a budding romance? living here is a better entertainment than reading glossy magazines.
