found it

It was exactly where it should have been , and i had? looked there? before , i needed a? valuation of my mothers? ring for the winding uop of her estate, i had hidden it? years ago when another of her rings was stolen by? someone , either a ‘carer’ of sometime? on one of her visits to hospital, anyway i hunted high and? low.….…..maybe it was her way of making me tidy up my things.….….……it was of course exactly where i had thought it was and in the first place i looked, i found it while looking for something else.

I have been tonight to my second salsa dancing lesson, all of a sudden it all came together and looked good. no doubt i will have forgotten it all by next week,? but him upstairs and i are going to practice.? it will get me fit if anything does, my hair was damp with sweat after tonight’s dancing.

spent the day looking out photos for? Thursday’s talk, got distracted by? lots of photos of Basil. it was nice to see him .

back in snowy glasgow

well?I didn’t go shopping in Brent cross,?I hitched a lift into the center of town? with Ian and went to the Tate Modern gallery, there was a wonderful buzz of excitement about the place and young people of all ages learning what is and isn’t art.….….I thought some if it wasn’t art? but a lot of it was .…I particularly liked the generation-gap.jpgcrack? that is causing so much controversy, cannot see how anybody could fall into it, some people must be awfully daft. first i had lunch there it lunch-at-tate-modern.jpgwas very good. then waited till Ian had finished his work his office in in Pickford’s wharf right on the Thames beside the ancient Golden Hinde ‚? it amazing how small thoseold-and-new.jpg ships were.

that night we went back into the center of town to The Banqueting Suite, Whitehall where we atttended a charity dinner in aid of Langdons college for young people with learning difficulties, i had a long talk with the headmaster, a very nice caring person.….…..langdon-dinner.jpg.…..lovely dinner too.

what ugly trees? there are in bits of London.…..ugly-trees-and-esther-cooking-003.JPG.….…it is illegal to do that to trees here in Glasgow.

drove home on Thursday through stormy ‚snowy weather because it was the first time i had entered any photographs into a club competition and i wanted to hear the criticism in order to learn something, it was good constructive crit. i.e. a little more colour saturation and trim off more of the surrounding border…got 15 out of 20 which wasn’t bad as the winning pic got 17 out of 20.

giving a short 10 minute talk to the camera club? next week , not looking forward to it as i have never done any thing like it before , i was going to refuse but it is on the exact anniversary of Basil’s death and i thought it might give me something else to think about this week.….…..i have to put together?? some photo’s on to a Cd and think of something not too boring to say about them.….….….….how do i let myself get? talked into getting out of my comfort zone so often.
