2008">what exactly is a cocktail dress in 2008

I am in London ( with new laptop) for a few days staying with Abigail, Ian et al.….…..we are going to a charity dinner ( in aid of Langdons a? colledge for young autistic people in Manchester ) , somewhere in Whitehall tonight, not such a posh one this time it is cocktail dresses, not sure what a cocktail dress is these days so i cut 10cms off the bottom of a? floor length dress, which has improved the look of it a great deal thank heavens..

took this photo hedged-in-007.jpgout of my bedroom window of? high hedged london gardens.….…..beech hedges at least 3 meters high.

going to Brent Cross shopping center now for a? good old window shop and who knows what might be spotted in Fenwick’s sale.

save Pollok park meeting

www.goape.co.uk?

http://www.glasgow.gov.uk/en/Residents/Parks_Outdoors/Parks_gardens/pollokcountrypark.htm

Well that was lively, .……Glasgow city councillors should know by now that the good people of the city don’t like people interfering with their ‘Dear Green Place’.….….….Glasgow is rightly proud of the fact that it is a city with a lot of open green space and thousands of trees.

The council, without asking any body, contacted ’ goape ‘and asked them to come into one of our parks, there was a very lively protest meeting tonight hundreds of people turned up a and even the car park was full of people. none of us had anything against ‘goape’, in fact we all liked what they had to offer but they hadn’t been given much choice of location.Pollok Park woods

i hope they do come to Glasgow i would love to have a go on their various climbs ..taking my grandchildren on with me , ga_montage2b_630x259.jpgwonderful excuse grandchildren are for doing all sorts of things that a dignified person would not do.

feeling more positive today having done a bit of gentle ‘kicking of ass’ of people who were not getting things done thus making me get no sleep.….….last night was the worst yet.

been blue.…feeling a bit better

“I hate things hanging over me”.Basil often said so we always paid bill early and got things done that had to be done.….….…..

.….….….….…Things are hanging over me and have been making me very depressed, the winding up of? my husband’s estate and the winding up of my mother’s estate and the income tax for all three of us.. it is almost a year since he died and? still it is not finished with yet, i have to get this flat valued yet, and as i have done a lot of upgrading to it this year i shall now have to find all the receipts. i am back to not sleeping.

Anyway i am refusing to? sink completely. on Saturday night went by taxi uptown and saw the Coen & Coen Bros film which recently won the palm d’or.called no country for old men or something like that..it was excellent.

and tonight? i went with him upstairs to salsa dance lessons in Busby, Basil’s cousin Roslyn, who ?goes every week and has been trying to get me to go for months, it was goo fun and i was exhausted by the end , great way to get fit.

there would?be photos but i have mislaid? the usb lead from my camera and the thing? in this computer refuses to read it when i put the SD card into it grr !!

It has gone already whatever virus it was, helped on its way by vintage port , throat lozenges and spaghetti carbonara donated by him upstairs. It is a good thing i was feeling better as i had run out of milk, cornflakes and money so had to go to a supermarket, was amazed to see Easter eggs on sale in tesco.….…came home and had a nice lie down after all that shopping.

…Tomorrow my new fridge and freezer arrive so i have plenty to do in the morning.….ooh the excitement.

these are the upstairs dogs taken in soft focus with new camera
