feel­ing pos­it­ive again.….i had been in a lot of pain for a few days from an old injury which flares up if i do some­thing i shouldn’t but with a mix­ture of ultra­sound mas­sage, paink­illers, heat and horse lin­ea­ment ( well it smells like it).….… it has retreated till the next time, i was begin­ning to get wor­ried that it wouldn’t let up in time for the great trek.

i have just this minute seen my post­man being inter­viewed on the news, they have been on strike, it has been lovely ‚no bills for days )

I won­der if the Hal­loween witches or trick or treat­ers’ lurk in the grand canyon for i shall be in it on Halloween.

my kit­chen is full of apples , so is the fridge, the din­ing room and me. Judy next door who came in to admire my new fire­places wanted me to have some of her apples too. no please no, no more apples.

i have decided i am going to become a fam­ous pho­to­grapher, i only need to pro­duce one image that every­body in the world loves and i shall be able to live com­fort­ably for life. remem­ber that awful green lady of the 1970’s ..now all i need is a great photograph.

They are both in , my? new fireplaces.….…i have spent the last few hours remov­ing? plaster dust from every­where, des­pite the dust sheets it still gets every­where. and have sat with a? fire? burn­ing in the grate.…pity it was a warm night. tomor­row i will take pic­tures of the fin­ished articles.

I have decided to stay up late for the next? few weeks so that i am not quite so jet lagged when arriv­ing in Las Vegas, we have booked tick­ets to see? the new Cirque de Soleil / Beatles show “Love” on the even­ing of the 27^th and stay in a posh hotel ?before we sub­mit ourselves to sleep­ing bags and tents for the next 5? nights.….……i had bet­ter stop spend­ing money on fire­places, good thing the dol­lar is where it is just now.

last night it was a choice of a beer fest­ival in Troon or the cam­era club , i went to the cam­era club .what is wrong with me ?? but it was good? there had been a com­pet­i­tion and the judge explaned? why he had given points to vari­ous pic­tures. i came home and played at photo editing.

and i am wear­ing my climb­ing boots a lot to break them in.…it looks odd with my floaty skirts, for­tu­nately the neigh­bours know i am nuts.? and it fright­ens the work­men into doing a good job.?

there are some days you won­der why you got up , this one was like that in parts but other parts were great so it bal­anced up.

i went? to the local mall (Brae­head) to get some spare read­ing glasses. got a great park­ing space. no prob­lem at the opti­cian as they have a copy of my pre­scrip­tion, got out my debit card, put in the pin.….that’s when it all went wrong. three times it refused the pin than locked it so i was stuck 12 miles from the nearest branch of the bank to unlock the card, i didnt have a spare card? with me for the first time ever, any­way i went and got cash and it all turned out ok but wasted an hour of my day. then i thought i would get all the other things i needed for the great Grand canyon adven­ture, so i went int? a huge shop call­ing itself? a sports shop while my glasses were being? made.….……it was a huge wast of time it was just cheap foot­ball stuff. but when i went back to the opti­tion? she told me there were great out­door?? sport shops at? just? beside the mall? and she was right.Xscape is? an indoor? ski slope and climb­ing wall and things like that, so all was well again. and i am now fully kit­ted out? from back pack to socks and swim­ming shoes.

the rest of the day behaved the same…the hol­i­day inn web­site refused to recog­nised my phone num­ber so i even­tu­ally had to book? my room in Lon­don on the phone.

then him upstairs said he had cooked too much tagliatelli? so he brought it down and we ate it? and some cheese­cake. then played? base­ball and bowl­ing on the wii? much to the bemuse­ment of his dogs who kept try­ing to? chase after the balls they thought we were throwing.….….…i won the bowl­ing , he won the baseball.
