As you may have guessed , i am in Denmark, i have been up at the very top among the sand dunes in a summerhouse with no Internet access and my mobile phone has refused to work the past few days wonderfully peaceful it was, but i have popped back int Aalborg to get in touch with family who were getting worried.
halfway through last Tuesday i thought, if i don’t go now i never will, i had been putting it off and delaying it feeling just a though i wanted to sleep all the time so i thought this will only get worse unless i do something about it so i packed a small bag, put the bookcase that Gordon wanted in the car and set off, ‚my sat nav refused to work but one the way south, halfway down England the sat nave suddenly said. “You are over the speed limit” which was the firs communication i had had from it for weeks. then it told me the way until i went on to the new Birmingham bypass, then it sulked again.which is a pity because i decided i was very tired and would stop for the night but the hotel had no room so she booked me into another one a few miles down the road but gave me directions to a different one ..it tool me an hour and a half and 60 miles to find one that was only 17 miles away and the room stank of cigarettes but was the only room left.
but the next day was super , i set off wondering whether to try Harwich but not sure if there would be a ferry i went for the Chanel tunnel and got straight on well it would have been instantly on but they decided to sniff my car for explosives, so i just missed the train but it was only half an hour till the next one, then clocks forward an hour. and off up France, i set the sat nav for Aalborg with no hope that it would work. but miracle , it instantly worked and took me all the way from Calais through Belgium, Holland Germany up to aalborg it wouldn’t tell me how to get to my brothers street but he met me in a rest area of the road and led me in., my mobile phone stopped working just before we met up.and has only accepted text messages but refuses to send them or to call people , it is bliss full though having peace from the world.
so we have? been to
a medieval day out set in 1533 to be precise it was huge fun , and we have shopped and read books while it rained and watched the sun drop into the north sea at 10pm from a long flat white sand beach.
Gordon and me watching jugglers, and acrobats in authentic 1533 costume.
must try to book a room near the tunnel now for my return journey
