got a mes­sage from someone want­ing to know how ‘big fat bud’ got up the tree…he had read an excerpt of the blog about the visit to Roslyn and the photo of Sheena Blair look­ing at the big fat bud on the tree on my web site but there was no photo. i am at the moment hav­ing trouble with get­ting pho­tos on this web site but they can be seen if you do a search on Yahoo 360 for Fiona S.….or look in yahoo answers that lets you see my 360 page. joe has fixed my photo prob­lem so here is big fat bud

another quiet day as this cough refuses to get bet­ter and i am get­ting tired, but i did get the cot and some bed­ding and a high chair out of the attic in read­i­ness for the influx of small boys and their par­ents on Friday.haven’t seen them since Christ­mas i expect there will be changes in their appearance.i am ready for ques­tions about the dis­ap­pear­ance of grandpa basil.….it will be harder explain­ing the dis­ap­pear­ance of the won­der­ful riser chair.

watched the final epis­ode of life on mars with friends and wine tonight.enjoyed it.….…don’t quite know what to infer from it but at least it was unexpected.

col­lec­ted the aer­obic step thing tonight from a nice lady called Mary Anne so now you can pic­ture me step­ping up and down all day while watch­ing telly.freeshare is great.

Red sheep at night, shep­herds delight ? I pho­to­graphed these fam­ous red sheep last night at a 7.15 pm from a mov­ing car so the pic is a bit dark and blurred, i have lightened the pic but couldn’t fix the blur. a farmer whose fields abut the M8 motor­way decided to cheer up the com­muters by dye­ing his sheep red, it is a lovely sight against the green field in the sun­light , quite sur­real as well because the ‘hill­side’ they are on is a man made pyr­amid shape.

done little today except yet more paper work and bills pay­ing and dish­ing up hot bever­ages to nice vis­it­ors., don’t know where all this hot weather we are sup­posed to be get­ting is because it cer­tainly wasn’t in Glas­gow today.

i have asked for and been offered on free­share a ‘step’ so i can do some exer­cises on bad days as i got so short of breath yes­ter­day just climb­ing a slight incline…i have paid my non -refund­able deposit to the char­ity so i am jolly well going to do the trek in October.…there is noth­ing like part­ing with money to con­cen­trate the mind

It is OK folks, thank you for your con­cern the UFO didn’t get me i was just a little ‘blue’ yesterday.and had noth­ing sens­ible to say.…..not that i ever do.

Mickey came over this morn­ing and we talked cam­eras , i want to get a bet­ter faster one,as by the time this one takes the photo things have moved on.

then Sheena phoned and said why don’t you come over to Edin­burgh for the day so i grabbed a pine­apple and some herb tea, and set off, vis­it­ing ancient par­ent on the way and drop­ping off an Easter egg and toy bunny rab­bit for her.…the pine­apple was my con­tri­bu­tion to the lunch.

Sheena was upset when i got there because she has learned the Laura her daugh­ter and my god­daugh­ter had been attacked by a bunch of girls last night, so we had a quick bowl of soup ( homemade broc­coli and Stilton) and went and bought some arnica cream and for Laura . she had been punched and scratched in the face and had a black eye .….…. she still man­aged to look beau­ti­ful .….….…she knows who did it but wont go to the police she says it would make the situ­ation worse, which is prob­ably true. the worse thing is an old friend or hers (male) saw it all and didn’t do any thing to stop it..she was sup­posed to be going on a mod­el­ling assign­ment tomorrow.friends were with her and she was OK but very shaky today.

then Sheena and i went for a long trek in the won­der­ful grounds of the Roslyn estate ( of Da Vinci Code fame) we didn’t go near the build­ing as these days it if full of tour­ists. the photo is Sheena look­ing a a big fat bud on a young tree.then Sheena cooked some sal­mon and we had a lovely meal .

then i came home and watched a val doon­ican Christ­mas spe­cial from 1964 , i enjoyed it. then saw second half of the pas­sion of Christ.….interesting.

it is now quarter to one in the morn­ing so i sup­pose i should go to sleep.

I won­der where it came down, it was big, too big to be a shoot­ing star so i am guess­ing a met­eor­ite i was temp­ted to get in the car and head in the gen­eral dir­ec­tion of its tra­ject­ory but it could have been much fur­ther away than it looked .……about 9.40 pm it was , bright white with a tail that seemed to fizz. hope nobody was under it when it landed .

oth­er­wise the day has been very quiet, i am in quite a bit of pain due to eat­ing some­thing that i am sens­it­ive to, it makes my joints sore espe­cially my neck, but it will be bet­ter tomor­row with luck.
