hard things to do

it was the hardest thing i have ever had to do, and i had to do some hard things in the care of Basil including injecting him with insulin into his abdomen but yesterday when it came to injecting my 11 year old grandson in his thigh with his insulin i found it very hard to do. we had a lovely day looking at show houses.….….….……i fell in love with one new house Basil would have loved it, he got restive if he didn’t see the sea every so often.….…..one side of the house looked over a marina full of little sail boats and the other side of the house looked over the Clyde.

there are 29 candidates in our local election , because i was housebound looking after Basil we applied for a postal vote and it arrived , one paper has 29 candidates and the other has 9 candidates and there is more ‚i will have to read it carefully before sending it.….….…..Basil’s didn’t arrive , i wonder how they knew he was dead , , very efficient of them i wish other things were as easily dealt with.….i have yet more paperwork to do, what is a bereaved dyslexic supposed to do. .….……this one went upstairs at the neighbours invitation and had an lovely meal and lots of rose wine.i supplied the pudding.

my new comfy furniture arrived and i am at last sitting on a comfortable easy chair, a freecycler came today and was happy with my old settee which was way too small for this big room.….so i have now managed not only to leave the room which i spent nearly all of seven years in but have ventured into a third room.

and i washed all the windows so i am feeling virtuous.

Babysitting in Chippenham

I drove down to Chippenham .….…near Bristol, last Thursday to visit Nicola and Christopher and to baby sit the wee ones while they went to his boss’s third wedding, Chris resplendent in his kilt amongst all those sassenachs.. it is a lovely place full of alleyways and a market where you can buy lovely fresh olives and cheeses etc..

couldn’t make sat nav work because it is a machine and i hate instruction books, i only got lost once anyway and that was half a mile from my own home and manged the other 398.4 miles no problem.

Daisy Chain Production Linewas feeling slightly guilty not going by train and using finite resources but i overtook two large trucks carrying railway carriages so if carriages go by road why shouldn’t i.

small children get up very early in the morning .

it was lovely playing with them …the photograph is Nicola and Aiden making daisy chains.

they whirl round and round till they fall over.

on Tuesday i drove to London to stay the night with Abby and the girls.……Ian was in Barbados having lunch with Garry Sobers (cricketer) and not seeing England play cricket.….….16 and 13 year old girls whirl round and round till they fall over as well.

this was the first time i have been on any trip alone since i was 16 and there was family at the end of the trip.

lots of lovely new comfy furniture arrived today so now i must get it all moved round to look good and i have offered the old stuff on freeshare and someone is coming to collect it tomorrow.

didn’t do much today as i ate a scone and cream etc a couple of days ago and i am sensitive to wheat so i have been feeling a bit off today but will be fine tomorrow. did some more paperwork today , it is amazing the bits of paper that keep arriving needing dealt with and it is amazing how fast the current account goes down when there is no income going into it.
