Turner Prize Contender

I think i will enter it for next years turner prize. sleep deprivation causes inattention and inattention causes all sorts of accidents. Combination microwave ovens are the best invention since the wheel. but if one is

A. as dizzy as a kipper or

B. not wearing ones glasses. or

C. sleep deprived thus inattentive. …

or indeed all of the above one can, and in fact I did press the wrong button and baked my nice glass bowl with a plastic lid on it at 250 degrees.

his steriods have not given him a steriod high he is just as miserable but can breath a bit better, though his blood sugar is now very scarily off. ah well it all makes life interesting

Too Much Archers

One realises that one listens to too much radio when upon looking out of the window ones first thought is oh dear what a horrid day for the ‘wedding’ of the two men in the Archers.

last night i got fourty five minutes sleep and another half hour this morning. ..but he asked me to phone a doctor today, usually he won’t let me in case they admit him to hospital. anyway a nice doc. visited and we now have various medicines that with luck wil help, including steroids, that pleases me because he will get a steroid high and be cheerful for a few days. …hopefully.

and perhaps some sleep will be granted me and i will stop feeling like a zombie in time to prepare for influx of children and grandchildren.

Christmas Looms

Unwilling to expose any guest’s nakedness to the gardener i have been covering the windows in time for the festive descending of the family. this involved unparliamentary language as i dropped the screws, basil masterminded the hanging of a couple of lowrie prints to make the room more homey and to aid the attic clearing as they have been up there since we moved in .

The inadvisability of a one year old, a two year old and a Christmas tree in the same room has struck me, must have been in this position before but can’t remember it.

I am shirking the card writing. but have got a Christmas pudding to send to brother in Denmark.…..a sadly missed item in that country.

there was more unparliamentary language from me this morning which caused the postman to halt in his tracks on the other side of the front door, I was , at long last, putting the broadband wire along the skirting board and up round the door jambs as it has been trailing along the floor for months, It is done now and i feel virtuous.….….ah but still the Christmas cards.

had eyes tested today on the fond and correct hope that they would not be busy as people had more urgent things to do. .….…“when did you last come in?” she said, “14 months ago” said I. ” 26 months ago” said she. oops.……slight adjustment needed. nice new bendy glasses. and nice healthy fundii, no sign of ancient parent’s glaucoma..

he has taken to watching short bursts of television since i converted the computer to a television but he gets tired very quickly, still it is a good thing as it distracts him from the pain and itch.…but i cant use it as a computer at the same time.

Dongle

There are days when you know it is not worth attempting anything.….…this was one of those days.

i have however got the remote to work by attaching yet another dongly bit and given him surround sound so now he as a speaker near each ear and can hear it which saves me having to repeat everything said in a film. .…..has an odd effect on my perception of the films though as the sound is behind me and the film is in front.
