Old Things

I do love freecycle .com.….….……have been in the attic as one day the ceiling is going to come down on us, well a bit of it did come down after the fire but that was a different cause.

an ancient typewriter that has been gathering dust for years is going to appear on stage shortly in a play.

a spare radio is going to a good home.

42 people wanted a the television my neighbour gave me to put on the site..

spare sewing machine was asked for within 6 seconds of my offering it.

basil is happily looking at old slides of 40 years ago and wading through millions of old photos.

great granny is fit and well though losing the words for things.…..she had a plate of cakes and was offering them to 2 year old Aiden, she said one was china and one was granite.….….….…they were lovely and soft so it wasn’t a derogatory comment.

Double Glazing

yesterday morning 3 large vans full of bits of window arrived and 6 enormous men started removing windows. they did the front of the house yesterday and most of the back today.….….….…Basil elected to watch from his bed as the window all of the 8 feet height of it was removed and replaced.….….……he thinks it is an entertainment put on especially for him.

i cant get over how quiet it is with double glazing.
