All is calm, all is quiet.….……they are away vis­it­ing friends and fam­ily, i am rel­ish­ing the peace before the even big­ger inva­sion next week.

still eat­ing turkey

des­pite my love for being alone i have enjoyed the con­stant ‘busy­n­ess ’ of it all.

mind you enter­tain­ing them is not a prob­lem. the adults have been play­ing on a wii, one (Nic­ola) has now become addicted to speedy bubbles on my old laptop, the other ( Chris) is play­ing the same thing on the wii or is amaz­ing me with a brain power test­ing pro­gramme, i have never seen any­thing like it, he has the thing solved while i am still try­ing to read the ques­tion. the four year old is play­ing com­puter games on the desktop com­puter or racing around house and garden, the three year old works the video/DVD player with no prob­lem and is dan­cing to ses­ame street.….or racing round house and garden. they didn’t wake up till 7.15 a.m. on Christ­mas morn­ing and had to have the stock­ing that Santa had left on their beds poin­ted out to them.….……bet that doesn’t hap­pen next year.

him upstairs has given me half the Christ­mas cake he won at the cam­era club and another lump of it is reserved for my brother in law , also a mem­ber of the cam­era club.

it is a beau­ti­ful blue, frozen morn­ing -3 at the moment ( 11.30 a.m. )

think i shall have morn­ing cof­fee, the days of the week are con­fus­ing, how did it get to be Saturday.

didn’t go to the sales,don’t need any­thing and i would only buy some­thing i don’t need,Basil would laugh at me when i bought food reduced for quick sale. ” well it will have been cheaper when you throw it away “he said .….….i went to Asda on Christ­mas eve , i didn’t need any­thing except desic­cated coconut, for a chocol­ate cake i was making.….…couldn’t find it in the shop but i got all sorts of things reduced to 10p, they are all in the freezer and i shall enjoy them later, and not be throw­ing them away.

still eat­ing turkey.….….….but the turkey/rice soup is wonderful.
