2007">the last half hour of 2007
They are taking it in turns the grandchildren, one or other of them has been on the phone since about 19:00, i hate to think of their parents phone bills it is amazing what young people can find to talk about for an hour and a half at a time, one of them..the 13 year old is on at the moment singing to me .….….….
I am very lucky in my family and friends, i have been invited to London, Israel, the lake district, Edinburgh and all points north ‚tonight and tomorrow, but i want to see this year gone and done with.….….…the third death was yesterday in the person of a favourite cousin of Basil’s a really delightful man and eccentric scientist, there are not enough people in the world like him .
half an hour of it to go, i shall have some vodka and fresh orange juice, and go to bed.….……or just the orange juice and go to George square to see all the people.
