back to chippenham, back home, back to london
My quiet life is getting crowded with happenings.
Having been to the wedding and then helped.…or hindered the moving in of JJ (Jonathan James).i went back to Chippenham to try to keep the small boys from bouncing on their mummy’s newly sewn up tummy and to deliver them safely to and from school/nursery for a few days.
This is not one of the boys despite it being the same colour as the hair on one of them.
Thursday was Nicola’s birthday so i got a tiny cake in a local shop and nathan put on all sorts of candles
Having engineers for parents has its uses, chris bought the boys light sabers at the school disco, needless to say they were feeble and not at all of any use to fratricidal brothers but mummy and daddy took them to bits and got the LED s taped up again
Today’s beef is with BT Openreach.….….…..for two reasons, one being more serious than the other.
in the good old days if you had a problem you phoned 151 and somebody spoke to you then fixed the problem and if you were a disabled person or a person with precarious health you got very speedy help.….….….not in the wonderful 21st century, you can’t get at them ‚when eventually you get to speak to a human they can’t do anything speedily. that was for JJ’s phone.
On 28th Oct I reported my phone was off when my upstairs neighbour noticed that my Internet connection didn’t come up on his screen.….……we know each others encryption keys in case of that sort of thing happening fortunately for several days later when i get home. no computer, not television, no phone and my mobile only gets a signal if i stand on the front door step. so i try phoning on my mobile, no luck it keeps cutting out. i am not sure if they got the message or not so i wait a day, nothing happens so i access the net via his connection and manage .….……and it wasn easy ‚what with passwords and pin numbers and account numbers.….……to book an engineer to come out , they tell me to agree to paying £120 if the fault is in my house. i agreed partly because there was no way there was a fault in the house. engineer took two hours to fix it and among the messages it had stored was one from BT days earlier saying they had fixed the problem and if i still had the fault to contact them.….….no comment.
I am back in London because Abby and i fly to Brazil, Chile and Argentina tomorrow.….……what quiet life ?
