It’s just not Cricket
Well I don’t know.…it’s just not Cricket.
i was talking to somebody about Cricket yesterday.…..this doesn’t often happen as my brother talked nothing but cricket and ate nothing but Heinz baked beans for most of my formative years ( hate beans too, even the smell of them).……don’t hate brother though, fond of him .…any way. as i say i was talking about cricket yesterday and was told about ’ sledging’ i was shocked. cricket is a game of gentle men played slowly with lots of hollow palmed hand clapping when ever anything happens.
i looked it up on google, took a while as i was looking up surfing instead of sledging.….….well i tend to tune out the details when cricket comes into conversation.….….found a nice blog about it.….…The Corridor (a cricket blog).….……he tells all. the cartoon on top of my blog is his or at least from his site.
p.s. Great Aunt Euphemia banned the word Cricket when we stayed with her.
