i am so slow at doing things, i buy gad­gets ‚then leave them on a table for sev­eral months because i am sure that i will never make any sense of the instructions.….the gad­get for con­vert­ing slides and neg­at­ives ter­ri­fied me.…and it is so simple to use. my com­puter is now full of ancient images.

the same thing applied to access­ing my blog from a com­puter other than my ancient one…well it involves remem­ber­ing pass­words and also find­ing the admin bit.
well after pro­cras­tin­at­ing for at least two years tonight i did it in a few moments.and so pleased with myself that i am put­ting it on my wee port­able notebook.….….in order to keep fam­ily and friends up to speed with latest goings on.

so we replaced the lead pipes that carry the water to our taps. last august.……on monday a man from Scot­tish water came to inspect the work and arrange get­ting it attached to the mains.….i don’t know why i am here were his first words. so i told him.

i can’t pass that he said we didnt see it being put in, .…we had con­tac­ted them many many times.….….….….……i showed him copi­ous num­bers of pho­to­graphs of the work.….….…my builder in a trench halfway up his thighs.….….……not deep enough said he…it might freeze.…it was -20 here last winter for sev­eral days, it noth­ing froze and noth­ing has frozen for 100 years…standards are dif­fer­ent says he.

so i still have my sup­ply through the old lead pipes.

going to a wed­ding on a beach in Israel. soon…it is going to be hot.……i am a cool north­ern person…i have total sun block.
