uptown girls

yesterday i thought i had better get on with doing useful things like sorting out all my bits of paper and also sorting out all my mother’s bits of paper and disposing of thousands of bits of paper that Basil kept for no reason so there are now wee piles of paper every where and bin bags full so paper to either shred or burn and a wee heap of paper that i really must get done for my income tax because the longer i keep putting it off the worse it seems in my mind.

but today i had another lovely day uptown with my niece, she was in Glasgow to collect her young man’s passport and was to phone me when she was ready , so i went to John Lewis and did a little sale shopping then looked at my phone ..dead as a door knob.…..panic, so i rushed in the direction of the passport office and saw her coming in the other direction, which is amazing considering the thousands of people in Glasgow every day.so we shopped till we dropped and then went for lunch in Princes square , ladies-wot-lunch.jpgso much food that neither of us could finish our plateful.lunch.jpg

the wedding dinner was beautiful , there were 50 tables each seating 10 people, a bagpiper piped in the bride and groom , it was a wonderful mix of a ceilidh and a Sikh wedding. i got slightly sad watching the bride and groom dance , they are so in love and i missed my Basil, but we had a lovely marriage and i have great memories so i refuse to be sad. .……and i danced with other ladies , i think i may get gainful employment as a belly dancer.

but please .no more curry for a while
