rosyth to zebrugge ?

feeling much better today, been tidying up and making faulty machines work and putting up things on walls that were meant to be done ages ago. and have set up the webcam so?? JJ and i can talk during college holidays.

then i thought i would find out the best way to get from here to the top of Denmark with a glass fronted bookcase in the back.….….……i though the best way was to go from Rosyth to Zebrugge overnight and drive the rest of the way as , while the bookcase is in the back of my car i can’t hide my luggage, then come back my usual way , driving through all the countries between Denmark and the north of France. But it seems that according to the ferry website a single woman on her own can’t have a bed ‚only a reclining chair in which to pass the night all for ?159 one way.if that is indeed so i shall go by my usual route through the Chanel tunnel, i have driven from the top of Denmark to Le touquet in a day before now so i am sure i can do it the other way round.

meanwhile i have much to do first so i shall probably be going nowhere

I used to go on the Danish DFDS Line from Newcastle to Esbjerg in Denmark when I wanted to travel between Scotland and Northern Germany but they no longer operate it. They do Harwich to Esbjerg though, that would save a lot of driving on your furniture delivery. It’s an overnight sailing leaving at 18:00 so with an early start, not too bad a drive down from Glasgow, crossing over to the east coast via Scotch Corner and down the A1 and M11. I’m sure ferry prices go right down in September to about half the Summer rates. DFDS cabin accommodation is very good and the higher cost of the crossing, compared with a channel crossing, is offset by the lower fuel costs, no overnight stops in a hotel etc. Bön Voyage anyway!
