Puffing and puffin

PUFFING

PUFFING

A truly magical day, first the women’s 10K came running past, the first one was here 4 minutes after the start. thousands of them came, all shapes, sizes and ages. the Marie curie nurses that came to watch Basil some nights when i was in desperate need of sleep, stopped to give me a hug, then went running on their way to raise money so that they can provide more much need help to the exhausted.
then by quarter to 11 they were all gone and the mop up bus was passed.
so thought i , i can join the rest of the intrepid photographers in anstruther. so i quickly made up some rolls for lunch and set off along the M8,across the forth Road bridge and down the coast road, there were some very heavy showers of rain and i thought myself daft to be doing it and i was convinced that i would arrive just as the boat chugged out of harbour but no ‚perfect timing.….….…..getting on board with a broken ankle and crutches was another matter , but nothing stops me when determined.
puffin1the weather was lovely, the birds were many, i stayed near the wee harbour on the isle of may and let the birds come to me.….by this time i had blisters on the palms of my hands from the crutches.….….then 50 minute boat trip back to anstruther , where most of our party queued at the famous fish and chip shop, but four of us went to a place called waterfront and had a good old Scottish high tea. it was superb.
two hours drive home arriving at 10 p.m.….….…..i am very tired but it was good
