Fiona's Quiet Life

I have had a lovely day, had some great com­pli­ments and good con­ver­sa­tions and did a lot of hard work .…..and ate some chocolate.

hav­ing got my lovely comfy fur­niture in the lounge the cur­tains that were there looked ‘peely wally’ ( pale and unin­ter­est­ing to those who don’t speak Scot­tish) so i took down the ones in the din­ing room which are ter­ra­cotta vel­vet and made by me, and put them up in the lounge …it looks great, well i think so anyway.the peely wally ones don’t look right in the din­ing room (which i intend to turn into a bed­room) so i shall have to go to Man­dors and get some nice fab­ric and get sewing.

and i cre­ated an new flower­bed where a use­less bit of lawn was.…..the edge had been mashed up by the trans­plant­ing of a tree.….…..then i spread 4 bags of very ripe.…..smelly.…manure. so now i have to go ad get some more plants, i gave away lots of small laurel bushes on free­share that had rooted them selves on the com­post heap. him upstairs says laurel con­tains cyan­ide and pois­ons the ground.

and i gave away two tele­vi­sions and a digibox, as i had replaced them with large flat screened hd ready telly’s. .

the photo is my son in law Chris and the wee ones i was baby sit­ing when the par­ents were at a wedding.

have been read­ing Basil’s old med­ical text books mostly dat­ing from 1940’s, noth­ing much seems to have changed in basic medi­cine since then.
