observations and recycling plant

keeping-tidySmall socks belonging to a three year old take a disproportionate amount of time to hang on a washing line, i suppose it is the same with a dishwasher, i love it when the things in it are big and emptying it is so much quicker. …..a washing basket full of the clothes of a three year old and a five year old takes forever to hang on the line………..no Nicola i am not complaining ‚it was nice to be in the garden doing it and listening to the next door puppy yipping.

yesterdays visit to the landfill / recycling plant was fascinating i am amazed at what is done and how wonderfully clean it was……..it was called Hills and is somewhere in Wiltshir www.hills-group.co.uk/ , …….a bus load of school children came and we gave them a tour, i was ‘official’ photographer in my high visibility jacket. over a hundred photos ……and i am pleased with most of them which is unusual for me.
cansi highly recommend a visit to your local recycling plant if they allow visitors. we learnt all about the different things that can and cannot be recycled and that plastic will never biodegrade.
i could go on about it for hours………….old furniture made into wood chips, plant waste into beautiful compost in 12 weeks……….no food stuff allowed in it not even orange peel because of foot and mouth but they are looking into safe ways to compost food waste…………it is in case the compost is spread on ground that cows may graze off.
no envelopes in waste paper because those with windows mess up the pulping process.
you can tell i had fun.
