Linlithgow and food

What is it with Linlithgow and food on a Monday night.….….….….….…having collected my brother from prestwick we went to Bo’Ness where his son lives and was-waiting with his girlfriend and sister, having done all the usual greetings and cups of tea things we go in search of food, there is a great place? between Bo’ness and Linlithgow that does wonderful food but it was full and there wasn’t going to be a table for ages so we decide to go t Linlithgow where there is a pleasant Italian restaurant, we get there, we even get parked at the door, in we troupe all? five of us, sorry they said we don’t have a chef tonight,? so we find another restaurant , sorry they said this is a private meeting, we want to try the pub as it looks good but they stop serving food at 8 p.m. and it is now 8:15, we are hungry Gordon , on Danish time is even more hungry, there is an empty eating place? near the pub, we don’t like the look of it , why is it empty when the good place is full and there is nowhere else to eat, but we go in , we sit down, the proprietor stops watching telly, gives us a menu, we choose, my nephew heads for the loo, on his way there he passes the kitchen and sees the ‘chef” heaving out a great gob of spit? .…no telling where it landed.….…we walked out.

but all ended well as by that time there was a table available at the good place.…and ooh! the food was good…linlithgow.jpg…i think it was called ‘the chop and alehouse’ not sure about that though, them we took them back to Bo’ness and Laura back to Edinburgh arriving home here at midnight.
