down the back of the radiator

one dolls ‘s hairbrush( antique)

one thumbnail size glass bottle

one knitting needle …size 6

two melted candles

one cotton reel

one pencil

one pen top

one small mouse I made in pottery classes 14 years ago

one domino

one top of a nice wooden box

and four pieces of a wooden puzzle

all stuck down the back of the radiator posted there by Jonathan when he was a toddler.

the radiators are old ‚inefficient and to close to the floor and do not have thermostats, so when him upstairs had one removed from his spare room which was a fairly new one , i thought ” good oh ! “i’ll have that. and while the plumber is here i will get one in the other room as well.

one that i bought in screwfix

nice new radiator

nice new radiator

is fitted already and the difference is amazing.

but

when he tried to drill a hole in the wall for the racket, all he got was sand. the plaster is very very old and just crumbled , so i have spent the afternoon , mask on face, hammer and chisel in hand taking off all the plaster.….

.……ooh the dust.

job done now. but i will have to anchor a solid bit of wood to the wall for him before he will come back.…..the wall is old sandstone blocks and very uneven as the room used to be an outhouse type of thing.

lots of rubble......i love the word rubble

lots of rubble.…..i love the word rubble

fortunately i have some of the wallpaper left so i can rehang a couple of strips.
