Well he has had his breakfast and his insulin and his 17 pills one of which is a strong diuretic so we shall be up to the loo every half hour, so no sleep to be had now.….…i can understand why they use sleep deprivation as torture. i did get an hour though between 7;30 and 8:30.last night we were up to the loo 5 times, up to do his blood sugar twice up to untangle him from his downie frequently up to untangle him from his oxygen tube several times etc etc etc. it is not just he lack of sleep it is the constant getting out of bed and the not getting to sleep when he does because you know that you will be suddenly woken from the deepest sleep so you get frightened to sleep because you feel so wretched when the sleep is at its deepest and you are suddenly awake.
